Who We Are Looking For

As a Mechanical Designer 2, you will focus on smaller design projects, utilizing your skills in Autodesk Inventor. You will perform detailed design tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications and safety standards. Your role requires foundational certifications and experience in mechanical design. You will have moderate interaction with the fabrication shop and project management teams, with limited client interactions and presentations.

Your Day to Day 

  • • Design and optimize mechanical systems and components for a variety of projects. 
  • • Perform simulations and analyses to test design robustness and functionality. 
  • • Coordinate with the fabrication team to ensure designs are feasible and optimally prepared for manufacturing. 
  • • Lead specific components of larger projects, managing timelines and design requirements. 
  • • Document all design processes and critical decisions, contributing to project reports and presentations. 
  • • Demonstrate the values of the core values and purpose of the organization. 
  • • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. 
  • • Proficiency in relevant software and technologies.

Your Qualifications

  • • Preferred: Undergraduate degree (TD/ME/EE) OR Equivalent: 4-year experience as professional designer. 
  • • OSHA: 10 hr. (or willing to obtain within first 3 months of employment). 
  • • Autodesk Certifications: Inventor Certified Professional. 
  • • Rhino: Level 1 Certification. 
  • • AutoCAD drafting experience: Preferred 1+ year . 
  • • Inventor (or equivalent): Preferred 2+ years. 
  • • Revit: Preferred 6+ months. 
  • • Successful on small design build projects. o
    • Meeting Part specification budgets for their team on a consistent basis (80% of that time for a 2-year project history). 
    • o Meeting Design Hour budgets for their team (80% of that time for a 2-year project history).

Your Work Environment

This position is in the home office, Henderson, Nevada. Most work will be performed in an office environment. Anticipated travel is minimal, estimated at a 5% level.
