Education:

BS, Theatre Generalist, Minnesota State University, Mankato

MFA, Theatre, Technical Direction, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale

First introduction to the industry:

I spent the summer of my 16th birthday working for a lighting design firm in San Diego with my brother, but had forgot about the experience while I served in the military. During my undergrad for Mechanical Engineering, I helped some students through my first math class, and they invited me to their production of The Producers. I spent the next year or so slowly shifting from Mechanical Engineering to Technical Direction. The rest is history.

What I listen to at work:

An impressive variety which includes a Mongolian rock band called The Hu.

Dream Vacation:

I would love to get back to Hawaii one day.

When I'm not at work...

I’m woodworking, diving deep into my homelab, or playing video games. Sometimes all at once!
