Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Kansas State University

MFA in Stage Automation, University of North Carolina School of The Arts

First introduction to the industry:

I grew up performing in community theatre, but in high school I went on a school trip to NYC and got standing room tickets to see Newsies. That was my first time seeing automated scenery and realizing how engineering could be used in entertainment, and I knew I wanted to be a part of that.

What I listen to at work:

Taylor Swift or audiobooks.

Dream Vacation:

I haven’t been outside of the country since 5th grade, and I would love to explore the world a little bit. Seeing a West End show is on my bucket list, so I think London would be a good place to start with that.

When I'm not at work...

I’m running, at a trivia night, watching a movie, or reading a good book.
